One Step Digital Animation Studio was founded by Syed H. Al-Mashoor. A veteran in the advertising and animation industry working in the capacities of an Illustrator, Art Director, Character & Concept Designer, Storyboard Artist, Animator, and Film Director.

He started out as a visualizer in an advertising agency in Singapore in 1981 and work his way up to Art director in a few short years.
Syed also worked as a freelance illustrator specializing in children’s book before stumbling upon animation in 1989. He co-founded one of Singapore’s foremost animation studio – ‘Animata Productions Pte Ltd’ in 1990. Specializing in the production of high profile 2D animated TV Commercials such as ‘Nano Nano’, ‘Kiasu Burger’ and the ‘Ho Ho Ho Horlicks’ series.

He joined Peninsula Animation (K.L.) in 1997 as Animation Director to work on “Silat Legenda” and later as Layout Supervisor on “Putih”. Malaysia’s first and second animated feature, respectively.

He was consultant to Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) as a series director and storyboard supervisor for ‘Saladin’ the Animated Series from 2007 to 2009. He was also involved as an Ink & paint Supervisor on the production of the 2D animated feature “War of the Worlds: Goliath”

Syed is also active in the education circuit as a Part Time Senior Lecturer in several Universities and Colleges around the region teaching Methodology and History of Animation.

The creative artists at One Step Digital Animation Studio are hand-picked for their strength in their respective areas of expertise. They each received the guidance and training from our director and senior animators to further the art and elevate the quality of our production.

Since it was formed in 1999, One Step Digital Animation Studio concentrated on TVCs and Short Public Service Announcements working with local and overseas Advertising Agencies and Production Houses such as McKann Ericson, Grey, FCB, O&M, Bozell, Saatci, Shahril Associates, Asia Pacific Videolab, Video Headquarters, PRS Productions, Fat Lizard, P.O.V., Yelocentric, House Projects, Krakatua, Select team, Moneytree Asia Pacific and the list goes on.
